Define the Market and Buyer Type
Begin with the destination country, sales channel and intended customer. A distributor range, fleet project and property-mobility project may need different colors, labels, configurations and support information. Clear market context helps determine which options are realistic.
Select the Vehicle Platform First
OEM work should begin with a suitable vehicle platform. Share the application, route, cargo or passenger requirements, terrain and charging conditions. Branding cannot compensate for a platform that does not fit the intended work.
Prepare Brand Assets
Provide vector or high-resolution logo files, brand colors, wordmark rules and examples of preferred placement. Identify whether branding is needed on body panels, cargo boxes, seat backs, labels, cartons or manuals. Avoid relying on screenshots as final artwork.
Describe Color and Appearance Direction
Use color references such as Pantone, RAL or an approved physical sample where possible. Explain which panels, roof, seats or cargo body need coordination. Final color matching and available materials depend on the selected model and production process.
List Configuration Questions
Separate confirmed requirements from options still under discussion. Include motor and battery direction, cargo body, cabin, seating, tires, accessories, charging and packing. Do not copy fixed specifications from a different model.
Clarify Quantity and Timeline Context
Estimated quantity helps determine which private-label options can be reviewed. Avoid asking for a guaranteed lead time before the model, configuration, branding files and order details are confirmed. A realistic schedule follows technical and commercial confirmation.
Discuss Packaging and Labels
State whether CBU, SKD or CKD is preferred and whether cartons, labels, manuals or packing marks require the buyer’s brand. Final packing dimensions and loading quantity are confirmed after the vehicle and order plan are finalized.
Use a Structured Inquiry
A useful OEM inquiry includes company details, market, application, model direction, quantity, branding assets, color references, configuration questions, packing direction and required document topics. This creates a clear basis for quotation and visual confirmation without implying that every requested option is automatically available.
Continue Your Project Planning
Review the relevant product category, OEM direction and packing requirements, then send the available project information through the inquiry form.
